Colorblind

Dopo alcuni anni passati suonando in band come STAFF e Crystal Dusk, con le quali hanno aperto concerti in tutta Europa per veri mostri sacri quali Helmet, Toto, Supertramp, Bruce Kulick e aver lavorato con produttori come Dave Richards (Queen, David Bowie…) e Nick Smith (Sting), gli svizzeri fratelli Mudry hanno deciso che il loro futuro sarebbero stati i Colorblind.

Dopo una serie di concerti come duo, Al e Sam hanno cooptato il bassista Blez "Magic" Mab (Layne, Crystal Dusk) e si sono chiusi in studio con produttore Gunt, per registrare il loro primo album “Under a paper Moon” un disco che per la sua incantevole immediatezza avrebbe potuto essere registrato con una semplice chitarra acustica, ma che è invece arricchito dal contributo di numerosi musicisti e amici che hanno suonato tastiere e violoncello, glokenspiel, percussioni, e fiati. Le loro canzoni sono meraviglie pop-folk ad altissimo tasso emozionale che hanno i loro numi tutelari in artisti come Jeff Buckley, Damien Rice e Ryan Adams.

“Under a Paper Moon” esce in Europa per Phenix Records e in Italia per Seahorse Recordings con distribuzione esclusiva Goodfellas.

After a few years playing rock with distorsion in bands like STAFF or Crystal Dusk with whom they play as opening act for rock legends (Helmet, Toto, Supertramp, Bruce Kulick…) in Switzerland, Netherland, Germany, Italy and France because of albums recording by Dave Richards (Queen, David Bowie…) or Nick Smith (Sting), the Mudry brothers decided that their future will be on another road.

They quickly composed a lot of emotionnal folk songs looking towards composers like Jeff Buckley, Damien Rice or Ryan Adams but keeping their own identity.

After a few gigs in duo, they took on board the bass player Blez "Magic" Mab (Layne, Crystal Dusk…) and lock themselves in a studio with producer Gunt, who is doing this for over 15 years with many artists in many styles (Reggae, Rock, Electro, Chanson…).

They recorded an album that could be played only with a guitar. Of course, on the album, they added some contribution from friends as you can hear.

"Under A Paper Moon", the title of the album is indicating that the ban is seek of a society where the only thing that matters is the way you look.
