ABULICO
The band was formed in 2006 by the conjunction of several influences and personal tastes of the components to give ample room for songs strictly in English without leaving a certain mood indie rock that, Sometimes, it mixes with more pop and soft atmosphere.
After numerous live and participation in some of the most important national festival, Abulico in 2009 released their debut album, Behind, produced by Seahorse Audioglobe distribution and press office Lunatik. The disc with the video for Tokyo Eyes in rotation on major national TV channels, is still presented live in the "Behind Tour" and levy a warm reception by audience and critics, gaining a press review comforting (Mucchio, Rumore, Rockstar, Rockerilla, BlowUp ..) and participation in numerous national festivals in the company of established artists as Moltheni Massimo Volume, 24 Grana, Boosta, Amor Fou, Calibro 35 which include the right of the emerging Italian Abulico among the most active and well received in 2009 .

Indie rock quartet field exorcised his name turning to sound anything but indigenous. If there is a thin red thread to unite more rockers the Smiths to Radiohead less avant-garde, is interwoven with it that are more enveloping the heads of this debut. Destiny and measured Hide me for all. Models suitable to celebrate the queen died in the shoes of a paranoid android. The voice on the records convinces more acute than in medium-low, as evidenced by the beautiful and jeffbuckleiana Leave Me Out . Not bad also as a producer of Sir Paul, even the synths, for a fashion show not listless or redeemable anorexic.

It may seem unlikely in the collective, but also in Naples occasionally rains. On rainy days, the thoughts and melancholy join mingled with anger, emotions such as dense puddles mood of a city that loves colorful clothes from the sky, intense. Always. "Behind" - the debut of ABULICO - is a little gem of music, a painting made of angles and slides hard to see, darkness and cement, blank stare, thoughts that run away.
Twelve tracks that enter the heart and brain, accompany every little detail of listeners, who lives a sad moment: a wet cigarette, now impossible to smoke, ran for shelter, and street urchins among other things, the look of a town girl immersed in the chaos of a city incomprehensible, perhaps forever. Twelve stories chasing dreams, ideas almost always coincident with a drain, constant offers of these sites, centered by contradictions and paradoxes that make the air breathable such as dioxin garbage on fire. Where fatality means fate, one is suspended like puppets in a war already lost.
A work record that escapes from tradition and enforced by its energies to the contrary, spontaneous work as a mocking smile, a sound - thanks to the wise production of Sir Paul (Blessed Child Opera) - emerges in its opaque beauty, giving us moments of great thickness expression. A record that would please Turin Brakes, gifted in many ways closer to a lyric Radiohead, able to recount the lives of young Neapolitan with a universal approach, an air of unabashed in front of backgrounds and cultures.
A gray ending - as recounted in "Gray Sky" - with a glimpse of heaven invade everything and everyone, it will explode in a yellow sun for millennia never gives up, it will soften the feelings of someone who hides so much for far too long will shine the image of a beautiful place but raped yet again. An album that exalts the emotions and frustrations of generations in the vortex of a disillusioned everyday. Not only in Naples, but human.

Abulico
La band si forma nel 2006 dalla congiunzione di diverse influenze e gusti personali dei componenti per dare ampio spazio a melodie rigorosamente in inglese senza tralasciare un certo mood indie-rock che, a volte, si mescola con atmosfere più pop, folk e soft.
Dopo numerosi live e la partecipazione in alcuni dei più importanti festival nazionali, gli Abulico pubblicano nel 2009 il loro album di debutto, BEHIND, prodotto dalla Seahorse Recordings, distribuzione Audioglobe e ufficio stampa Lunatik. Il disco con il video di “Tokyo Eyes” in rotazione sui principali canali televisivi nazionali, è ancora presentato dal vivo nel "BEHIND Tour" e riceve una calda accoglienza da pubblico e critica, guadagnandosi una rassegna stampa confortante (Mucchio, Rumore, Rockstar, Rockerilla, BlowUp ..) e la partecipazione a numerosi festival nazionali in compagnia di artisti affermati come Moltheni Massimo Volume, 24 Grana, Boosta, Amor Fou, Calibro 35 che includono di diritto gli Abulico tra le realtà emergenti italiane più attive e ben accolte del 2009.

Quartetto indie rock campano che esorcizza il proprio nome rivolgendosi a sonorità tutt'altro che autoctone. Se esiste un sottile filo rosso a unire gli Smiths più rockettari ai Radiohead meno avanguardisti, è con esso che sono intessuti i capi più avvolgenti di questo esordio. Misurarsi Destiny e Hide me per tutti. Modelli adatti a celebrare la regina morta nei panni di un androide paranoico. La voce convince più sui registri acuti che in quelli medio bassi, come dimostra la bellissima e jeffbuckleiana leave me Out. Niente male anche la veste di produttore di Paolo Messere, anche ai synths, per una sfilata non abulica ne tantomeno anoressica.

Può sembrare improbabile nell'immaginario collettivo, ma anche a Napoli ogni tanto piove. Nelle giornate di pioggia i pensieri e le malinconie si uniscono mischiandosi alla rabbia, emozioni dense come le pozzanghere di una città umorale, che ama vestirsi colorata dal cielo, intensa. Sempre e comunque. "BeHind" - esordio dei napoletanissimi Abulico – è una piccola gemma musicale, un dipinto fatto di angoli e diapositive di difficile immaginazione, oscurità e cemento, sguardi persi nel vuoto, pensieri che scorrono lontano.
Dodici tracce che entrano nel cuore e nel cervello, accompagnano ogni piccolo particolare di chi le ascolta, di chi vive un istante malinconico: una sigaretta bagnata, ormai impossibile da fumare, le corse degli scugnizzi tra un riparo e l'altro, lo sguardo di una ragazza di provincia immersa nel caos di una città incomprensibile, forse eternamente. Dodici storie che rincorrono sogni, idee coincidenti quasi sempre con una fuga, costanti offerte di questi luoghi, imperniati da contraddizioni e paradossi che rendono l'aria irrespirabile come la diossina della spazzatura in fiamme. Dove fatalità significa destino, si resta sospesi come pupi in una guerra già persa.
Un lavoro discografico che sfugge dalla tradizione e dalle sue forzate energie contrarie, un'opera spontanea come un sorriso beffardo, un sound che – grazie alla sapientissima produzione di Paolo Messere (Blessed Child Opera) - emerge nella sua opaca bellezza, regalandoci momenti di massimo spessore espressivo. Un disco che piacerebbe ai Turin Brakes, dotato in molti punti di una lirica vicina ai Radiohead, capace di raccontare le vite dei giovani napoletani con un approccio universale, un piglio strafottente di fronte a contesti e culture.
Un grigiore che terminerà – come raccontato in "Grey Sky" – con uno squarcio di cielo che invaderà tutto e tutti, esploderà nel giallo di un sole che da millenni non si arrende mai, farà sfumare i sentimenti di chi cela tanto da troppo tempo, farà brillare l'immagine di un posto meraviglioso ma stuprato ennesime volte. Un album che sublima le emozioni e frustrazioni di intere generazioni nel vortice di una disillusa quotidianità. Non solo napoletana, ma umana.
